Reviews for Cafe Noworolski
Review highlights
Based on 1,741 reviewsCafe Noworolski is widely appreciated for its charming location in the heart of Krakow’s main square and its high-quality pastries, coffee, and desserts. Visitors frequently praise the friendly and attentive staff, noting the efficient service and pleasant atmosphere. While some mention the café’s cash-only policy as a minor inconvenience, it is generally accepted given the setting. Pricing is considered on the higher side, but many see it as justified by the prime location and the overall experience. Common feedback suggests a desire for greater variety in the pastry selection and a preference to preserve the traditional ambiance, with some critics noting that modern advertising elements slightly detract from the historic charm.
In Krakow for the Christmas Market. We had a very positive experience at this cafe. Told before we sat down it was cash only by a very pleasant waitress. Food and drinks came quickly and were both really nice and comparable in price to places around the old town. Went back the following day, same experience
I don’t get why this place has low ratings. The staff is lovely, true they don’t take card but so what? The cake and ice cream are great; coffee is delicious. True, it is expensive but you are in the middle of the square! I recommend you relax and treat yourself with a lavish dessert and observe the magnificent basilica and square in front of you. Oh! And read the history of the café - absolutely loved it.
The pastries are very good. The problem is- lack of variety. Beer advertisements on canopies definitely did not contribute to the old charm of the establishment.
